Why this role matters
As Eco Guardian expands its manufacturing and distribution capabilities, efficient freight management is key to ensuring our supply chain remains agile, cost-effective, and reliable. The Senior Freight Specialist will lead all domestic and international freight operations, managing relationships with carriers, brokers, and 3PL partners to ensure every shipment moves smoothly from origin to destination.
You’ll play a pivotal role in optimizing transportation strategies, maintaining compliance across borders, and supporting our commitment to sustainability by identifying smarter, greener ways to move freight worldwide.
Key responsibilities

Negotiate and manage freight contracts with domestic and international carriers to secure competitive rates and reliable service.

Coordinate shipments across ocean, air, and ground transportation, tracking containers from origin to destination.

Prepare and manage all shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs paperwork.

Oversee inbound and outbound shipment planning to meet delivery timelines and service-level targets.

Review and reconcile freight invoices, resolving discrepancies to ensure accurate billing.

Build and maintain a freight matrix capturing carrier profiles, rates, and service data to support data-driven logistics decisions.

Collaborate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and 3PL partners to maintain efficient, compliant operations.

Monitor freight market trends and recommend cost-effective transportation strategies.
What we are looking for

Minimum 5–7 years of experience in freight management, international logistics, or supply chain operations.

Proven expertise in freight negotiation and carrier relationship management.

Strong knowledge of customs regulations, CBSA/CBP compliance, and documentation requirements.

Experience coordinating with 3PL partners and managing inventory flow.

Skilled in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel (SAP preferred).

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

A proactive, analytical thinker with a commitment to precision and continuous improvement.
Bonus: Experience in food packaging, consumer goods, or commodities.
