Leading the Way in Sustainable Packaging
We’re committed to protecting the environment by offering products that are organic or eco-friendly in nature.
In 2004, Eco Guardian started with a simple question: How can we help reduce the number of single-use plastic bags we were drowning in? With that question from our Founder & CEO, Anil Abrol, came the product line that started our company–reusable Bags. From that day forward, every bag we sold had the potential to, and did, replace thousands of plastic bags and over the course of
a few years, we saw the industry begin to prefer reusable over single-use plastic bags.
From that success, it was natural for us to be driven by the idea that “traditional thinking” can change. If a society can shift to a more sustainable option for bags, then why not for other products too? Single-use food service items are used day-in-day-out worldwide and produce a huge amount of waste. We thought there must be a better option.
We are dedicated to providing consumers, food service companies, commercial and institutional customers with safe, trusted, durable and compostable, fibre foodservice and tableware solutions of the highest quality.
When the industry was certain that there was no suitable alternative for traditional plastic food packaging, we sought out manufacturers who aligned with our goals to reduce waste and used rapid-growth resources to alleviate the impact on the environment. The majority of products offered by Eco Guardian are re-purposed from natural compostable by-products produced by the manufacturing process of other products. In our case, most of the products are constructed from post-industrial sugar cane and bamboo, which reduces waste from our partners facility and supports the global circular economy.
Once our partners were sourced, Eco Guardian boldly launched its line of 100% compostable sugarcane-based foodservice items. From then on, we have been continuously growing, innovating and looking for the best solutions to address the growing disposal concerns caused by traditional polystyrene foam and plastic food service items.
